Clinical Psychology PhD Student

Jamie Hardy-Besaw has a master’s degree in Professional Studies in Clinical Psychology, a masters degree in Clinical Psychology, and is a graduate student in the Clinical Psychology doctoral (PhD) program at the University of Cincinnati. She has worked with “Dr. Angie,” providing evaluations for Immigration Psychology Services, since 2022. Prior to moving to Cincinnati, Jamie worked with immigrants and refugees at US Together in Columbus, including working as an ESL instructor. Jamie is fluent in Spanish and provides evaluations for Spanish-speaking clients through Immigration Psychology Services.  

Jamie’s passion for this work comes from personal experience.  Her mother was an immigrant from Honduras and Jamie grew up understanding the complexities of life for Latin American immigrants in the United States. Jamie obtained her bachelors degree from Ohio State University in 2019.
